The Royal Vines Story (Deep)

The Royal Vines (Deep) wallpaper pattern corresponds to the rich green outdoor space of Stucatto Castle. The field is vast and fertile, therefore it allows the cultivation of a multitude of species of herbs, flowers, trees and shrubs. We pass beneath endless rows of rich vines, from which hang firm and aromatic clusters. Exotic fruits paint delightful cramps in the vibrant surrounding landscape. Although we are at a considerable distance from the orchard, the sweet, fresh scent of apples welcomes our senses. On our walk, our footsteps take us, slowly, to the area called Royal Vines, the core of the outdoor space.

We walk through the row of Ionic columns that are architecturally opposed to the strictness of the Doric. The undulating forms capture the specifically feminine fluidity, intrinsically beautiful and resilient. We arrive, at last, at our destination. We breathe in the clean freshness of nature as our steps take us into the green amphitheatre. Arranged in concentric circles and lined with tall trees, the area nicknamed Royal Vines exceeds all expectations. The county's most renowned landscapers have transformed this place into an explosion of fragrance and colour. The name refers to the overwhelming array of hanging flowers that can be seen everywhere. Today, the amphitheatre serves as a meeting place for daily hunting sessions. In the past, however, the original garden was steeped in magic and mystery.

Legend has it that the king ordered all the men in the estate to come to court to spend half an hour amidst the soothing scent of the flowers of the Royal Vines. Wise, strong, young or old, men gathered at court, but none could comply with the king's wish. Disfigured by fear, the men left the garden one by one, either running or with furious steps, without being able to describe what it was that frightened them. Only one person fulfilled the king's wish. After hours in the middle of the garden, a little boy returns along the path we have just walked. Cheerful, serene, without a care in the world. Summoned before the king, the child was made to tell what dreadful creature lurked in the garden. Puzzled, the little boy replied that all he saw was his own reflection, for the place was like a mirror.

Stucatto Collection

The Royal Vines (Deep) wallpaper is part of the Stucatto collection, representing a unique and delicate composition, which has been attributed magical values. It all started as a bold idea of communication, which VLAdiLA designers have shaped and brought to life. Through design, talent and inspiration, the elements took on new dimensions, depth and substance. Synchronously, the story detaches itself from the storyteller, becoming a self-contained complex of emotions and feelings. Thus, the Stucatto collection becomes Stucatto Castle, a mysterious and imposing place suspended in time. Each room in the castle corresponds to a wallpaper, designed in the unique VLAdiLA spirit, integrating elements specific to the Baroque and Rococo artistic directions. The common element of all the compositions in this collection is the stucco, an architectural ornament in relief, which creates the illusion of three-dimensionality. The description of the collection crosses the boundary between the useful and the aesthetic, becoming a self-contained story that takes us through the surroundings of the Stucatto estate. Each room of the castle brings us closer to the climax of the royal dance. Once caught up in the waltz, in an unsuspected and mysterious way, the steps will take on the shape of eternity.
