Geometric Shapes Collection
Clarity. Rigor. Accuracy. Unit. Dynamism. Perfection. These are just a few of the words associated with VLAdiLA’s Geometric Shapes wallpaper collection. When it comes to using them as design elements, geometric shapes have the role of translating ideas and concepts, revealing a certain atmosphere or emotion. They help to create a visual path or to provide depth and texture to the illustrations. They are also used to introduce movement and to connect the ideas with the graphic imagination.
The Geometric Shapes collection provides your home with a minimalist and delicate decor. Due to the simplicity of the design and the neutral tones, the living spaces become a center of interest. Geometric wallpapers become the perfect background as life unfolds. Shapes with straight lines and angles usually symbolize structure and order, while shapes that contain curved lines are finer, representing connection and community. Through them you can concisely express a certain message, where simplicity can be the only environment conducive to communication.
Symbolism
Circles easily stand out in terms of symbolism and are attributed to perfection. They are a sign for wholeness, continuity, and eternity — because they have no beginning and no ending. In every culture, circles represent the sun, the earth, the moon and the other celestial bodies. Other characteristics would be harmony, warmth, calm, integrity, perfection, grace and protection.
Squares and rectangles are recognized for their stability, honesty and force, due to the straight lines and angles that are balanced. They remind us of reason, practicality and conformity. In Buddhism, squares represent the quality of being grounded. At the same time, squares that are placed inside a circle symbolize the communion of man with the divinity.
Triangles are related to stability, balance and strength - when their tip is oriented upwards. They contain a mysterious energy that reaches spiritual values as it represents a shape that unites the body, the mind and the spirit. It can also be a symbol for self-discovery and dynamism. The equilateral triangle is a sign for science, religion and justice.
Hexagons refer to cooperation, unity and balance. Perhaps the statement adopted by the architect Mies van der Rohe "Less is more - less means more" still represents a relevant stylistic philosophy in contemporary design. It can be subjectively interpreted, depending on one's own values and beliefs. But we can think about a reference to a ratio between quality and quantity, where quality is more important, whether it is material, conceptual, or graphic. The lack of details facilitates a much more direct dialogue between art and man.
Wallpapers like a piece of art
Our wallpapers are both hand-painted - with oil and acrylic colours - and digitally drawn, using graphic tablets. Because we like to be versatile and offer our customers options that fit their stylistic needs and budget, our portfolio includes wallpapers that can be printed on three different materials and textures:
- Smooth - matte, even and soft to the touch
- Canvas - creates the illusion of a life-size painting
- Linen - luxurious, fabric-like texture
This way, our wallpapers become a full, 360° sensorial experience through their impressive visual mastery and the dream-like dimensions. Our love and respect for nature exudes from the use of natural, ecological and biodegradable materials. This is why we manufacture wallpapers that have a Vlies base: a non-woven material that offers supreme durability and makes the products easy to install.
