The Antique Attic Story

The Antique Attic Wallpaper pattern corresponds to the royal attic, a place filled with ancient secrets dating back to the beginning of Creation. It is located in the central part of Stucatto Castle. To reach it, you have to pass through a labyrinthine hallway, surrounded by the darkness of spaces that have been overtaken by the passage of time. We enter through a secret antechamber, surrounded by walls suffused with paintings of unknown faces. At the end of it, a door opens, leading to a row of winding marble steps. The wooden balustrade preserves the memory of all the hands it has supported. We climb, and the sound of our footsteps crash against the bare walls.

We are greeted by the rich smell of thick velvet. It frames the double windows, hiding the contents of the room from the outside world. Dust particles dance in the single ray of sunlight that streams through the room. The grace and the ripples reveal a whole world trapped between these walls. Antique Attic is decorated with stone-encrusted busts of deities, offering protection to the kingdom and all who live in the courtyard. The walls are dressed in a silky shade of cream, over which time has spread its rusty tails. Recurring ornamentation greets us in the form of stuccowork that once marked the paintings of the county's most prominent artists. We feel as if we are being watched by those who lived in them. A soft, melancholy song pierces the monumental silence, though there is no one here to sing it. The princess's piano lies out of tune in the centre of the room, like a faded memory of former luxury and happiness. Yet hearts align with the delicate rhythm. As if somewhere, on another plane, someone is still dancing.

Stucatto Collection

The Antique Attic Wallpaper is part of the Stucatto collection, representing a unique and delicate composition, which has been attributed magical values. It all started as a bold idea of communication, which VLAdiLA designers have shaped and brought to life. Through design, talent and inspiration, the elements took on new dimensions, depth and substance. Synchronously, the story detaches itself from the storyteller, becoming a self-contained complex of emotions and feelings. Thus, the Stucatto collection becomes Stucatto Castle, a mysterious and imposing place suspended in time. Each room in the castle corresponds to a wallpaper, designed in the unique VLAdiLA spirit, integrating elements specific to the Baroque and Rococo artistic directions. The common element of all the compositions in this collection is the stucco, an architectural ornament in relief, which creates the illusion of three-dimensionality. The description of the collection crosses the boundary between the useful and the aesthetic, becoming a self-contained story that takes us through the surroundings of the Stucatto estate. Each room of the castle brings us closer to the climax of the royal dance. Once caught up in the waltz, in an unsuspected and mysterious way, the steps will take on the shape of eternity.
