Dor. A Romanian word with a strong emotional impact. The name of the collection evokes a feeling, as “dor” means “longing or missing someone or something”. A word that can make you think about a person, a moment from your childhood or a special place. “Dor” is a feeling that cannot be easily expressed in words. It has to be felt in order to be understood. It is perhaps a mix of desire, melancholy, sadness and hope, that manages to permanently live in your heart.
VLAdiLA’s Dor collection wants to reignite forgotten feelings, as it has various, unlimited meanings. You can feel Dor for your country (if you find yourself protected by foreign borders). You might feel Dor when you think about your traditions (if you have the feeling that you’re starting to forget your roots). Some feel Dor for authenticity (if you have been living disconnected from yourself for way too long), or Dor for everything that makes you feel at home (if you want to discover what your heart is longing for).
Our Dor collection is a series of wallpapers dedicated to all Romanian people, no matter where they might find themselves. The design of each model captures the truth of the past, present and future.
